There's some new information on the Out-of-town guest info page regarding hotel arrangements.  Be sure to look it over if you're driving/flying into Kansas City for the wedding.

Just seven months to go!  Amazing!

Unfortunately, I haven't accomplished a whole lot in this past month, nor do I anticipate doing much in this next month.  It's not that I don't want to--I'm just very busy w/ classes and such, not to mention the fact that we've accomplished *most* of the major stuff.

I'm hoping Jeff will start planning the honeymoon soon--I'm really eager to learn where we're going and what we're doing, but at the same time I'm happy to stay out of that part of the process--one less thing for me to worry about!

In January I go in for my dress fitting, and the flower girls order theirs.  Plus, Katie and both moms still need their dresses.  But the guys are all happily taken care of!

I'm also going home the weekend after next, to meet with our photographer at the Wynbrick and go over locations and poses, and hopefully plot out how we're arranging and choreographing things.

Still trying to grow my hair, too.  This is the longest it has been since my sophomore year of high school--over 5 years ago!  I definitely won't let it get as long again as it was then.  But I'm not planning on getting a major haircut before the wedding--more hair is always better to work with!  I also need to talk to Rhoda about a hair trial :-)  I'm still not sure how I'll be wearing my hair on the wedding day!

I've been so busy lately!  Last weekend I was down in Kansas City and spent the whole weekend working on luminaries, making a wrap to wear to Jeff's Phi Lambda Phi formal next week, semi-finishing bouquets, and a million other little odds and ends!

I also called a couple of potential officiants this week and am optimistic about hearing back from them, and talked to our photographer--we're going to meet with her in November, at the Wynbrick, to talk about poses and locations.

I brought the luminaries back up here with me to continue working on them (I still only have two done, hehehe), as well as all my bouquet-making supplies because I've been in contact with another bride who might want me to make some for her.  $$$!  So exciting :-)

Plus, we're heading down to St. Louis tomorrow (staying there through Sunday) and will be doing more research on wedding bands, as well as continuing to figure out our registries--I'm still tweaking things, especially bedding.  I will find the perfect bedding set if it kills me! tee hee hee.

We mailed the save-the-dates yesterday!  So I imagine people will start getting them by tomorrow and maybe stop by and visit the site.

So to any of our guests who are seeing this site for the first time:  Hi!  And welcome :-)  We hope you're excited about our upcoming wedding and are sure your fridge is more beautiful with our magnet on it--right?  :-D

There are archives at the bottom of this page in case you want to catch up on what we've accomplished so far.  Or if you really want to see the gritty side of wedding planning, check out my planning Xanga:  it's at www.xanga.com/KTtheKCbride.  I post on there, usually several times a day, to confer with fellow brides-to-be all over the country--I bet a lot of the things you see at the wedding itself will be inspired by ideas those other brides have given me!

I was also recently given a pretty high honor in the internet wedding-planning world:  I was invited to be a posting member of the Weddingbee blog!  My name on there is "Miss Blueberry" and the site includes several of the posts I make on my wedding Xanga.  Weddingbee is one of the largest wedding blogs on the entire Internet; read by thousands of people every day!  I feel really lucky to have been given such an honor and love getting to share with so many people :-)

But like I said--only check out those sites if you really want to know what I've been up to--it may be a bit of "wedding overdose" for someone with just a casual or marginal interest! hehehe  Usually I update major milestones (hiring vendors, etc.) on my blog here on this site, also--I can barely keep up with all these websites I keep!

Jeff just put up a few new photo albums in the Snapshots page:  An album with some pictures of the tuxes, one showing the process of making the save-the-dates, and a few pictures of the kitty cats--I hope you enjoy them!  Also, I asked that he pull down the pictures of me in my wedding gown--I've decided that there should at least be some mystery to leave until the wedding day!  So if you've seen the pictures already, do your best to forget what you saw.

I'm going down to Kansas City this weekend and will hopefully be able to hammer out some details which I can then pass on to everyone--specifically, our hotel selection for the out-of-town guests.  We'll be reserving a block of rooms for you all, probably at the Fairfield Inn in Liberty.  That's not for certain though, yet, so I'll be sure to post more information as I receive it--so check back often!

Finally, both of our email addresses are in the Contact tab, so feel free to let us know if you see a problem with the site or just want to say "Hi!"  We'd always love to hear from you!
